DVDFab Blu Ray Copy for Mac is Coming Holiday 2011

Here is some good news for Mac OSX users: Blu Ray Copy from DVDFab is currently in development and will be available to start using sometime in late 2011. In addition to being able to copy Blu-Ray discs, the software will also support ripping Blu-Ray and DVD movies to your Mac hard disk. Once you rip movie content to your HD you can then convert it into a portable format such as MP4 for full support on your Apple gadgets including the iPod, iPad, iPhone.

Do Mac Users Have to Wait Until Then to Copy Blu Ray?

Although I believe that this will be the best option to hit Mac users, if you want to start backing up disc today there are a few choices. We have reviewed a good Mac Blu Ray ripper from Pavtube. This software will extract the movie so you can then either copy back to a BD-R disc, (thus making a copy) or convert into a different format. Or simply keep the extracted film on your hard drive so you can have a discless playback experience on your monitor.

If You Have Not Heard of DVDFab Then Read On

DVDFab is one of the original DVD backup software makers when that industry caught on fire in the early 2000′s.  They have stuck to making a quality product by constantly offering software updates to include the latest copy protections that hit the scene regularly.  This is important because these new codes must consistently be updated to keep you making duplicates of the latest movies.  In addition to the constant updates, DVDFab has been a fan favorite for ease of use and relilable disc backups.

Why I would wait for DVDFab Blu Ray for Mac

If you are on a Mac and don’t yet have a Blu-Ray drive, it might be cost effective to wait a few months if you can handle it and wait for some sure deals this holiday season on external Blu-Ray hardware.  I’m thinking that we will start to see some sub $100 Blu Ray drives on the market, and once that happens then it’s game on for HD on my crystal clear HD Mac monitor.  So that’s my take on this.
