PlayStation 3D Monitor Kit Will Be Available Holiday 2011
You all have heard of the PlaStation 3D kit announced at E3 this year right? If not you are in for a treat. PS3 users will be able to play 3D games and watch Blu-Ray 3-D movies with the announced 3D kit. This is great news for those of you that don’t want to pony up $1000 for a 3D tv set and then a few hundred for some extra 3D glasses.
What the PlayStation 3D Kit will Include
The bundle will ship with a 24-inch screen as seen above, 1 active 3D glasses, and a copy of the soon to be released Motorstorm Apocalypse, which happens to be my favorite game series on the PS3. The bundle will retail for $499 and will be available at gaming retailers and online shops. The included 3D glasses are the active type which means they need to be charged and with the included USB cable you can do just that. Sony has a technology called SimulView which they have included in the monitor. This will allow 2 different people to see 2 different set of images on the screen at the same time, this is in favor of utilizing a split screen. The monitor will have dual HDMI inputs and speakers. If you want to add a second pair of glasses expect to pay an additional $70.
Here is a video demo of the Playstation 3D monitor in action at E3.
